The official Monty Sounds Radio TV App
Designed for Android TV and Google TV, the app gives you one-touch access to the live station together with the current track and five recently played tracks.
The clear full-screen interface is built for viewing from across the room and can be controlled using the directional buttons on your television remote.
Before you install
- Your television must use Android TV or Google TV.
- Keep the television connected to the internet.
- Download only from the official button on this page.
- Allow installation from the browser or file manager when prompted.
Choose whichever of the three installation methods below is most convenient for your television.
THREE WAYS TO INSTALL
Choose your installation method
Method 1 · Install using the TV browser
1. Open a web browser on your Android TV or Google TV.
2. Visit montysoundsradio.com/apps/tv/ and select Download the TV App.
3. When the download finishes, open the APK from the browser’s downloads or your television’s file manager.
4. If asked, allow your browser or file manager to install unknown apps, then select Install.
After installation: disable the unknown-app permission again.
Method 2 · Install using a USB drive
1. On your computer, download the TV APK using the official button on this page.
2. Copy monty-sounds-radio-tv-v1.0.0.apk onto a USB drive that your television can read.
3. Safely eject the USB drive from the computer and connect it to the television.
4. Open a file manager on the TV, select the USB drive and open the APK file.
5. Allow the file manager to install unknown apps if requested, then select Install.
If the television says the USB drive is damaged or unsupported, do not let the TV erase it. Use the browser or laptop method instead and visit the Help Centre for diagnostics.
Method 3 · Install from a laptop using ADB
1. Connect the laptop and television to the same home network.
2. On the TV, open Settings → About and select Build seven times to enable Developer options.
3. Open Developer options and enable USB debugging, Network debugging or Wireless debugging, depending on the television.
4. Find the television’s IP address in its Network settings.
5. Install Android SDK Platform Tools on the laptop, open PowerShell or Terminal in that folder and connect to the television:
adb connect TV-IP-ADDRESS:5555
6. Approve the debugging request displayed on the television.
7. Install the downloaded APK:
adb install -r monty-sounds-radio-tv-v1.0.0.apk
Disable debugging after the installation is complete. Detailed ADB troubleshooting is available in the Monty Network Help Centre.

Privacy by design
The official TV App does not require listener accounts and contains no advertising, behavioural analytics or promotional push notifications. It connects only to the services required for station playback, track information and the website and privacy links.
Installation safety
Monty Sounds Radio TV is distributed directly from this official website. Android TV or Google TV may display an unknown-app or external-source warning because the APK is not downloaded through an app store. Only install the app using the official download button on this page.
